A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from one called “Mentats of Dune”. All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, Mentats, Navigators, and Suk Doctors.
So what’s the “formula”?
I’ve read and watched a lot of fantasy/sdi-fi in my life and I think I can instantly recognize a winner, whether it’s Fifth Element, The Lord of the Rings, The Edge of Tomorrow, The Matrix, GOT or 12 Monkeys. . I’ve seen EVERY classic – too many to mention here.
and so on
It just grabs you and you have to see more! The plot and characters draw you in, there are some delightful surprises, it feels real… I agree that some of the younger actors aren’t that great…
A class production all around
and that a SwordMASTER is unlikely to be that ridiculously young… but overall the series so far is intriguing, watchable and has a lot of excitement. The "Prophecy" element is delicious and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
